Working from Home

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been asked whether there were really real work at home jobs. There’s no easy answer to that question, but, in a nutshell, the more skills you have the better chance you’ll have of being able to find work you can do at home or of building a freelance business. You will also need a high speed internet connection, a decent computer, and good computer skills - regardless of what you’re doing.
And, if you think you’re going to get rich, the chances of that are even slimmer - don’t believe the ads you see or the forum posts you read that promise you lots of money for a few hours a day. That’s not going to happen. Carefully investigate all the job listings you find and check out companies before you apply. Here’s more information on work at home jobs and how to find them.

Hi Alison
I Was looking through some blogs and came across yours,
there is some very good points which you mention that I like.
The part were you say more skills you have the better chance you’ll have of being able to find work you can do at home or of building a freelance business is true.
I would say affiliated websites are great if you are just starting of, as the website owner has done all the hard work you only just need the link.
Well I have a website, it pretty much covers work from home related stuff just like your site.
Why not come and check it out if you get time.

The answer is yes, there ARE home-based business opportunities. I developed my own in fact, I just sell on eBay. It’s a great career, I love it. I just made a website about it in fact. Hundreds of free articles and free tools to get started as well as Product Sourcing eBook. All I am saying is that, yes, there are real opportunities out there.
Affiliate Marketing
Multi-Level Marketing
Direct Sales (ebay, amazon)
etc.

I would have to agree with you on this one. I have found a lot of skepticism from others as well. In my search I have noticed that it is quicker to land a job working on the phone than it is landing data entry jobs. It is always a great idea to network with work at home forums, because there will be a lot of people there that will probably have worked for the company to which you are applying. They can tell you their likes and dislikes, what the job pays, and what will be expected of you.
