Who Has Time to Cook?
Lets just start out by saying that working at home isn’t for everyone. My husband for one would go crazy if he wasn’t out in the business world each day. For me, working at home is the next best thing to perfect. I like to be left alone and as a result, some of my best work occurs when there is no one around to bother me. Today for example… I started when everyone left the house at 8 a.m and now it’s after six… I just looked! Have no idea where the day went, but I did get a ton accomplished.
But there is also a downside to working at home. Because you are at home, it’s your job to get dinner on the table and if I’m in the middle of something, the last thing I want to do is think about dinner. That’s how I came up with the five day menu plan. What I am going to serve is written on the kitchen blackboard for everyone to see. If they don’t want it, they have a few days to launch a complaint so that the menu can be re-worked. They can do that once and then the menu is set in stone. That’s what they get for the week or we go out for dinner. That works for me!
The other two days out of the seven, I turn the cooking over to anyone who wants to do it. Surprisingly enough both my husband and my daughter enjoy cooking. Makes no sense to me, but they say that they find it relaxing!
